What is the Hardship Fund for Learners?

The New Zealand Government has created the Hardship Fund for Learners (HAFL) to provide financial assistance for our students whose studies have or are being affected by COVID-19. A hardship fund for international students has been established to address urgent, temporary needs, for example temporary inability to access cash or because of reduced part-time employment.

If you are experiencing financial hardship that is getting in the way of your studies, the Hardship Fund for Learners could help you.

Eligibility for the Hardship Fund for Learners

To be eligible, you need to be a current student enrolled in a Seafield School of English programme and experiencing financial hardship during COVID-19*.

You will need to supply evidence of your bank account. This evidence can be either a recent bank statement, Internet banking screenshot, or a screenshot from your bank app. It must show your name and the account number.
